Practice update 

Surgery Closure

 

The surgery will be closed on Wednesday 19th June from 13:00 for essential staff training.

Our phone lines will be open as normal the following day (Thursday 20/06/2019) from 08:00 with the surgery opening at 08:20.

If you require medical attention at any time when the surgery is closed see below:-

Resources such as NHS Direct or Choose Well provide information including a symptom checker tool and advice on how best to treat your symptoms:

Community Pharmacies are all able to provide confidential advice and in many cases medication for common ailments (A number of these are free under the Choose Pharmacy Scheme). A list of pharmacies and opening times can be found on the Cardiff and Vale Health Board Website at -

The GP Out Of Hours Service operates whilst surgeries are closed. This is for urgent care needs, which cannot safely wait until GP practices re-open. The service can be contacted on 01446 729562.

Accident and Emergency Departments and 999 ambulance services are for immediate life threatening conditions only.

Water Leak

Following the major water leak at West Quay Medical Centre, we are currently unable to open our automated doors at the rear entrance of the surgery.

Please use the main entrance when attending.

Stepiau is a service developed by the Primary Mental Health Support Service (PMHSS) for Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan
 
Stepiau primarily provides accessible self help resources and links to local services as a first step to developing mental wellbeing. 
 
You might be referred to the PMHSS for an assessment by your GP. For some people it might be useful to take a step forward by attending one of our free open access courses

The next step may be a range of therapeutic groups other interventions. 
 
Stepiau also has recommendations if you need urgent assistance.
