Practice update 

Surgery Closure

 

The surgery will be closed on Wednesday 19th June from 13:00 for essential staff training.

Our phone lines will be open as normal the following day (Thursday 20/06/2019) from 08:00 with the surgery opening at 08:20.

If you require medical attention at any time when the surgery is closed see below:-

Resources such as NHS Direct or Choose Well provide information including a symptom checker tool and advice on how best to treat your symptoms:

Community Pharmacies are all able to provide confidential advice and in many cases medication for common ailments (A number of these are free under the Choose Pharmacy Scheme). A list of pharmacies and opening times can be found on the Cardiff and Vale Health Board Website at -

The GP Out Of Hours Service operates whilst surgeries are closed. This is for urgent care needs, which cannot safely wait until GP practices re-open. The service can be contacted on 01446 729562.

Accident and Emergency Departments and 999 ambulance services are for immediate life threatening conditions only.

Water Leak

Following the major water leak at West Quay Medical Centre, we are currently unable to open our automated doors at the rear entrance of the surgery.

Please use the main entrance when attending.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

About Vale of Glamorgan Families First

Families First in the Vale of Glamorgan provides support to families with children who are facing difficulties, particularly to a house with low-incomes. Families First provides different types of support to the whole family depending on what your needs are through projects, activities and training from the council, charities and other organisations.

In the Vale you’re likely to first encounter Families First through what’s called the FACT Team (Families Achieving Change Together)Here’s a leaflet explaining a little bit more about what they do and it is FACT’s contact details that are provided.
