Clinical Workflow Administrator

Are you looking to work as part of an enthusiastic, forward thinking team? As a practice we embrace innovation and service improvement having recently won an ‘NHS Wales Award’ for our work in prudent health care to improve access for our patients.

We are looking for a motivated forward thinking Clinical Workflow Administrator to join the practice team at West Quay Medical Centre. The practice team consists of 6 GP partners, a salaried GP, 2 Registrars, Clinical Pharmacist, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, a trainee Nurse Practitioner, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 HCA’s and a very supportive admin and reception team.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will be responsible for ensuring all clinical correspondence is processed in a timely, safe and efficient manner whilst working closely with the GP Lead for workflow. You will ensure that all clinical correspondence is accurately coded and passed to relevant members of the practice clinical team and identify any issues or improvements which can be made. In addition, you will provide general administrative assistance to the practice team as well as supporting specific projects.

West Quay Medical Centre is a busy GP practice and previous experience within the NHS is an essential. You will have a caring and courteous manner but focused on the task and enjoy working with a wide variety of people. The successful candidate will also be required to work at times unsupervised and display initiative when resolving queries.

This post requires you to be organised and adaptable with excellent IT skills as well as a ‘can do’ attitude. Experience of INPS Vision Clinical System would be an advantage.
